DISCOVER KENYA IN MILAN:
FROM 26TH TO 29TH SEPTEMBER AT THE “LOGGIA DEI MERCANTI”

Milan, 16th September 2008 – From 26th to 29th September the “Loggia dei Mercanti” in the heart of Milan will host the “Kenya Week”: 4 days of art, culture, entertainment, food tasting and many other surprises entirely dedicated to Kenya. You are all invited to come and see with your own eyes the magical and infinite tourism and cultural experiences with which Kenya seduces her visitors.

Organized by the Kenya Embassy in Rome and the Kenya Tourist Board, with the Patronage of the City of Milan and the Collaboration of the Lombardy Region,  the “Kenya Week” will exhibit Kenya’s multifaceted tourism and cultural experiences all at the same venue, the prestigious “Loggia dei Mercanti”. The Loggia will be open to the public and transformed into a large mutifunctional area where continuous entertainment, exhibitions and tasting of typical Kenyan foods will be offered to visitors, stirring their emotions.
 
The Kenya Week will start on Friday 26th September, when Hon. Najib Balala, Minister for Tourism of the Republic of Kenya, will officiate the cutting of the ribbon ceremony accompanied by the Italian Authorities, thus marking the beginning of a rich programme of appointments. Performances and dances will be offered by three cultural groups featuring Swahili, Giriama and Taita tribes. Maasai warriors will entertain visitors at the Loggia on each of the four days. Art exhibitions, tour operator stands, suggestive dramas, presentations and tasting of typical Kenyan food products will complete the setting. Among the exhibitors are: Aquarius Watamu, Condor, Coral Key Resorts, Dorado Cottage Resort, Viaggi del Ventaglio and Malindi Casinò.

The “Kenya Week” will end on Monday 29th September with traditional dances and music.

SCORPIRITE IL KENYA A MILANO DAL 26 AL 29 SETTEMBRE ALLA LOGGIA GEI MERCANTI

Milano, 16 settembre 2008 – Dal 26 al 29 settembre alla Loggia dei Mercanti nel cuore di Milano sarà di scena la “Kenya Week”, una 4 giorni di arte, cultura, spettacoli, gastronomia, viaggi e tante sorprese interamente dedicata al Kenya, un invito per il pubblico a conoscere più da vicino la magia di un paese la cui l’infinita offerta culturale e turistica ha davvero tutto per sedurre i suoi visitatori.

Organizzata dall’Ambasciata del Kenya e dal Kenya Tourist Board, col Patrocinio del Comune di Milano e della Regione Lombardia,  la “Kenya Week” metterà in vetrina la caleidoscopica offerta culturale e turistica del Kenya in una location d’eccezione, la Loggia dei Mercanti, che si trasformerà in una grande area polifunzionale dove una serie di spettacoli, esposizioni, assaggi di delizie tipiche porteranno il grande pubblico a contatto con il Kenya le sue emozioni. 
 
La Kenya Week inizia venerdì 26 settembre, quando l’On. Najib Balala, Ministro del Turismo della Repubblica del Kenya, taglierà il nastro inaugurale accompagnato dalle Autorità italiane, dando così l’avvio ad un calendario fitto di appuntamenti. Le esibizioni e danze di tre gruppi folkloristici delle etnie Swahili, Giriama e Taita scandiranno il tempo delle quattro giornate e guerrieri Maasai accoglieranno i visitatori nella Loggia, tra mostre d’arte, stand del prodotto turistico, suggestive rappresentazioni teatrali e presentazioni, approfondimenti e degustazioni dei sapori tipici kenyoti. Tra gli espositori: Aquarius Watamu, Condor, Coral Key Resorts, Dorado Cottage Resort, Viaggi del Ventaglio e Casinò di Malindi.

La “Kenya Week” si concluderà nel pomeriggio di lunedì 29 settembre con danze folkloristiche e musiche tradizionali.
