MESSAGE FROM THE AMBASSADOR

I am pleased to welcome you to the website of the Embassy of Kenya in Rome, Italy, with multiple accreditations to the Republic of Turkey, the Hellenic Republic of Greece, the Republic of Poland, the Republic of Cyprus, and the Republic of Malta. The Embassy also serves as the Kenya’s Permanent Representation to FAO, IFAD, WFP and other International Organizations based in Rome.

Our Mission and Objective is to promote our bilateral relations with our Countries of accreditations and also to strengthen our political, economic, social and cultural cooperation as well.

This newly re-launched Website will provide up to date information to Kenyans and avail the necessary information to our development partners and friends wishing to visit or invest in Kenya. The Website provides information on consular matters, and links to other government ministries and agencies. The Kenya mission will remain at your disposal to respond to any queries in regard to investment and consular matters.

We wish to encourage our investors and members of the business fraternity to take advantage of the existing business opportunities in Kenya to trade and invest as well as visit our cultural heritage and tourism. Direct flights provided by Kenya airways between Nairobi and Rome resumed  on 16^th December 2010 and this not only provides an alternative travel package especially for tourists but has also reduced flight time. Trade between Kenya and Italy will now be enhanced especially in the horticultural field which will now be direct without passing a third country.
