It is my pleasure to welcome you to the official website of the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Rome.
This website is intended to give you quick information on the key sectors of the Kenyan economy as well as to provide relevant links to various Kenyan institutions as you plan to do business in Kenya. We trust that you will find the site a useful entry point to facilitate you to visit, invest or do business in Kenya.
The Kenya Embassy was opened in 1974 as a Permanent Representation to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). In 1987, it was upgraded to a bilateral Diplomatic Mission. The Mission has bilateral and multiple accreditations to Poland, Greece, Cyprus and Malta as well as to the United Nations Rome-Based Agencies (UN-RBAs) namely; the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the World Food Programme (WFP) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). It is also accredited to the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) and the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM).
Kenya enjoys warm and cordial relations with these countries. We also maintain close and mutually beneficial collaboration with the United Nations system in Rome. As such, one of our mandates is to maintain and strengthen our bilateral and multilateral ties.
The online Consular services are at your disposal for quick intervention. Information on the services we offer to Kenyans and other nationals can also be found here. Our Honorary Consulates in Nicosia, Athens and Milan equally augment these services.
Finally, we will appreciate your feedback to enable us serve you better.
Asante Sana. Thank you. Grazie.
