NOTICE

  1. With effect from 1st February 2016, children under the age of 16 years accompanying their parents to Kenya are exempted from paying visa fees. Do not submit an application or make any visa fees payment for a child under the age of 16 years. However please note that an accompanied minors under the age of 16 years will be required to apply for E-Visas.
  2. The possession of a visa for Kenya is not the final authority to enter Kenya. The Immigration Officer at the port of entry may refuse such a person permission to enter if he/she is satisfied that such a visitor is unable to fulfil the immigration requirements and that the entry and presence of such a visitor, in Kenya would be contrary to national interests even though such a person may be in possession of a valid visa for Kenya.
  3. Category 1:Nationals of countries exempted from obtaining Visas. Click List
  4. Category 2:Nationals of the following countries may be issued  with visas on application without reference to the Director of Immigration Click List
  5. Category 3:Nationals of these countries and categories of people who require a referred visa to enter Kenya Click List
  6. Yellow Fever Vaccination:The Embassy wishes to inform travellers who come from or transit through countries with risk of Yellow Fever that they will have to produce a Yellow Fever vaccination certificate upon arrival in Kenya. It is therefore advisable that travellers seek medical advice on the necessity of being vaccinated against Yellow Fever, if travelling or transiting from a prevalent country (click to see list of countries)

 

Fraudulent E-Visa Application Website

Single Journey Visa

Issued for purposes of single entry to persons whose nationalities require visa to enter Kenya either for business, tourism/visit or medical reasons.

A single entry visa  once approved and issued is valid for  travel within 3 MONTHS. Upon arrival at any port of entry, an immigration Officer may issue one with a stay period not exceeding 90 days.

Your period of stay may be renewed for a further 90 days at the immigration headquarters in Nairobi. The maximum number of days a visitor may stay in Kenya is 6 months.

Multiple Journey Visa (Only for frequent business trips)

Intended for business people who enter Kenya several times a year (maximum stay of 90 days each time) and is valid for 6 months or one year.

East Africa Tourist Visa: (EATV)

This is a joint multiple entries tourist visa that entitles holders to travel to and within the Republic of Kenya, Republic of Rwanda and Republic of Uganda for the purpose of tourism. The EATV has a validity of 90 days.

Transit Visa

This Visa is valid for 72 hours and is intended for visitors who leave the airport or seaport for the specific purpose of travelling to a third country (i.e. to await a connecting flight, to await boarding a cruise ship, or to travel overland to a neighbouring country).

Holders of a Transit Visa MUST leave Kenya before the expiry date of the visa.

Courtesy Visa

This is a visa issued to Diplomatic, Official and Service passport holders coming into the country on official duties, or transiting through Kenya to a third country for official business or duties. It is issued free of charge/ gratis.

Holders of any Travel Documents/Certificates of Identity and Category 3 nationals shall have their visa applications submitted online for approval.
