ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF A DRIVER
The Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Rome, Italy is seeking to employ a driver for the Embassy.
Job summary
The driver will provide chauffeur services to the Embassy. Ensure the assigned vehicle is kept and maintained in impeccable condition. Provide advice on routes and vehicle-related security practices. Provide assistance to other sections as required.
Area of Selection
This position is open to candidates currently resident in Italy, who hold current documentation allowing them to work in Italy, who meet all of the Essential requirements stated below, and whose applications are received by the closing date.
Candidates holding documentation/visas not renewable in Italy will not be eligible to apply for this position. Kenya Embassy in Rome does not reimburse any travel costs to and from interview nor does it reimburse any relocation costs. The Embassy does not sponsor work permit applications on behalf of candidates.
Candidates for this position should have the following qualifications:
• A tertiary/High School certificate in any field.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Italian
• Excellent navigational and route planning skills and knowledge of regional and national road networks.
• knowledge of routes within the Greater Rome and the location of Kenya Embassy, Foreign Embassies, and routes to all main airports.
• A valid Italian Driving License and an accident–free driving record in Italy, with at least five years driving experience.
• A valid certificate of good conduct from the police
• Possess a Valid Italian residence permit
• Possess a valid working permit
• Possess a valid working permit• be medically fit to perform the duties• Excellent skill in computers
NB: A driving test will be administered.
